January 22nd, 2006 - Goo-Goo, Gaa-Gaa

All of the sudden, Mack must comment on everything she sees - goo goo and gaa gaa, among others.

She loves her elmo book, and her little red bear, and other little assorted toys.

She get's her first "professional" photos taken today. Hopefully her mood holds.... :)

January 21st, 2006 - Garçon, plus de vin s'il vous plaît !

Mackenzie is really starting to enjoy the finer things in life, thanks to her parents well-rounded cultural tutelage.

She has even started to pick up a new language. We have yet to indentify it's origins, but she speaks it more every day, usually accompanied by ear to ear smiles, and excessive drooling.

She appears to be teething about a month early, but is nonetheless pretty much sleeping through the night. Especially after a good helping of a particularly nice vintage...of milk that is.

Christmas, 2005 - Secret Love Child??

Could it be true? Could this be the secret love child of the Pope and Mrs Claus?

No, it's just Mackenzie experiencing her first Christmas!

Mack was definitely was the present leader - she got clothes, clocks, dolls, clothes, music boxes, a rain coat and cute little matching boots, clothes, boots, toys, books, and yes...even a saddle (well she has to share w/ her future fellow grand-children). She even had a party hosted by the Pikes in her honor! Yes, quite the socialite already.

She did great in the car - sleeping most of the way. How does she know when we hit bad traffic? We had a few cases of car-seat-road-rage when things slowed down. You just haven't experienced the stress of bad traffic until you hit bad traffic with an infant screaming at the top of her lungs. And no, it doesn't help pass the time.

I think Bosley was serieously considering chewing his way out of the back of the car to get free.

All in all, a wonderful, memorable trip - Thanks to our parents for making it such a wonderful first Christmas for us and the Mack. Next year....she's mobile! That should be fun!
